Sofia Science Festival is knocking on your door!
The British council and Forum Democrit are turning Sofia again into a city of science between 14th and 17th of May. During those days the fifth Science Festival will take place.
Created in 2011, with the patronage of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science, the festival is gaining popularity with each single year. It gives space to Bulgarian and foreign scientists, who specialize in the science communication, so all of us, who are a bit afraid of that "mystical" matter, to understand mathematics, astronomy, biology, physics and every other field you can imagine.
Also during the festival you can see the finals for Famelab Bulgaria - the competition for scientists in the field of science communication, which can be explained the most easy way as how you'll talk about a scientific problem when you are drinking beer with some friends.
As every year there will be special programs for children, workshops and a lot and lot of science.
The big name this year will be Prof. Richard Dawkins, biologist and one of the most respected scientists in the world.
The festival is situated in the Zaimov park and Sofia Theater. On http://www.britishcouncil.bg/en/sofia-science-festival/programme you can check the whole program, take your kids with you and open yours and their eyes for the world around you.
And we love the world itself!
